Admissions
- Admission to the program is selective.
- Students with a high school G.P.A. of 3.2 (on a 4.0) scale
and an SAT of 1100 may apply.
- Other entering students may also apply and may be admitted
under special circumstances at the discretion of the Honors Program
Co-Directors.
- Presently-enrolled students at Methodist University may also
apply for admission and may be admitted at the discretion of the
Honors Program Co-Directors.
- Complete an Application for Admission
to the Honors Program.
Curriculum
Honors Students must maintain an overall G.P.A. of 3.0.
The complete program includes the five reading seminars
and a capstone project. Those who complete only the seminars
will also be recognized upon graduation.
The goal of the program is to make students more critical
readers: readers who can practice various approaches to
reading; readers who can comprehend various kinds of texts;
and readers who can discuss what they have read intelligently.
