Reasons for Giving While there are many reasons to provide support for Methodist University, the ultimate purpose is to enhance the academic dialogue that occurs between faculty and students. Of course, it is precisely that interaction that prepares Methodist University students to welcome the challenges that will accompany the new century. Essentially all of the funding that Methodist University receives benefits its students; whether for building endowments, library acquisitions, scholarships, or academic programs. In fact, gift support for annual, capital and other specific initiatives subsidizes the tuition cost of the College, thereby allowing those fees to be held to a minimum.
