Economics Professor's Journey Will Span the Continent

Those who know Dr. Spencer Davis are likely to know that he has a thirst for adventure. A frequently asked question by students in his economics classes is: “what are you going to do this summer?” Such is his reputation for making the most of the respite between busy teaching cycles. For much of the decade plus he has taught at Methodist, he has spent breaks traveling, living abroad, and exploring the world, summering in places such as Zihuatanejo, Mexico, and Guatemala.

Congratulations to Spring 2013 Graduates

The Reeves School of Business conferred 74 degrees Saturday, May 11, at Methodist University’s 5oth Spring Commencement. Gen. Daniel B. Allyn, who assumed command of the United States Army Forces Command the day prior, delivered the commencement address. The graduating class included twenty-one member of Delta Mu Delta International Business Honor Society, fifteen recipients of Academic Honors, and three students commissioned as 2^nd Lieutenants in the United States Army.

CFE Hosts Inaugural Summit, New Entrepreneurship Major Announced

For thirty-five years, April in Fayetteville meant, in addition to blooming azaleas and dogwoods, the arrival of the annual Stock Market Symposium hosted by Methodist University’s Center for Entrepreneurship. April 2013 however, greeted the community with a change. This past week marked the inaugural Entrepreneurial Leadership Summit, which has replaced the Stock Market Symposium as the Center’s flagship spring program.
