Member of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Association

Our Mission:

bullet

To promote education and research in the administration of criminal justice in North Carolina.

bullet

To bring together persons actively engaged in teaching criminal justice with those who work in the criminal justice field.

bullet

To encourage cooperation and understanding among those engaged in teaching and research in criminal justice and practitioners in the criminal justice field in the area.

bullet

To promote the expansion of professional criminal justice education.

Current Projects

  1. The Criminal Justice Association has adopted Skibo Road and scheduled  Roadside Clean-ups for the association twice a year.

  2. Coordinating a trip to Washington D.C. to tour downtown D.C., visit DEA headquarters, and tour the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA.

  1. The Criminal Justice Association attended the North Carolina International Association of Identification Conference this past Fall 2008!

  2. We are attending the American Academy of Forensic Science Conference in Denver, CO February 14 - 22, 2009. If anyone is interested please contact us!

  3. The Criminal Justice Association had its first Social for the semester on November 22, 2008 in which we organized a dinner and attended the local semi-pro hockey game! It was very successful and we had a great turn-out.

  4. The next Criminal Justice Association Meeting is Monday January 12, 2009 at 11:00 in Room T107.

Membership

Membership in the Criminal Justice Association is open to all who are interested in the Criminal Justice field. Criminal Justice majors and minors are encouraged to join. If you are interested in joining, you can stop by room S-260 (The Justice Studies Department) or e-mail us at:
