Admission
Preference candidacy is a unique opportunity to have first
priority consideration for admission into the Methodist University
PA Program at the completion of undergraduate coursework. Students
who satisfactorily complete the course of study leading to a Bachelor
of Science or Arts degree in Biology, Chemistry, Athletic Training,
or Exercise Science at Methodist University, and who successfully
complete all Admission Preference requirements, will have a space
reserved in the graduate PA program. This program applies
only to high school seniors or entering college freshmen (transfer
students are not eligible) who declare one of the above majors on
their Application for Undergraduate Admission.
Applicants must meet the following initial requirements in order
to be considered for the Admission Preference Program:
- Minimum score on SAT of 1000/ACT minimum score of 22 or higher
(recommended SAT score of 1150 or better)

a 4.0 scale
Interested students must contact the Admissions

the student is designated "Admission Preference" by the
PA Program. The student will receive preferential consideration
for the PA Program upon completion of the following requirements
while at Methodist University:
- Completion of a four-year course of study leading to a B.S
or B.A. in the previously mentioned majors at Methodist University

prerequisites courses (refer to AP

University

"Admission Preference" designation and will no longer
receive primary consideration into the PA Graduate Program. The
student may still, however, be eligible to apply to the PA Program
and be admitted through the normal channels.
