The
Methodist University PA Program
gives first consideration to Methodist graduates or persons who
have completed coursework at MU (If you are not an MU grad and are
taking classes to complete the prerequisite coursework, you must
be currently enrolled in 3 or more classes at Methodist to fit this
category). As a result, MU students are required to submit a supplemental
application, in addition to the CASPA
application.
MU applicants applying for entrance in August 2011 may officially
submit their online supplemental application to the Physician Assistant
program as early as April 14, 2011
and no later than Friday, July 29, 2011.
All required materials (transcripts, GRE, etc) must
be submitted, in addition to the application, to the program no
later than July 30th. No exceptions will
be made after this date. Should a student fail to meet the
deadline for the supplemental application, he/she must apply through
regular channels (CASPA).
They will be given first consideration with all other outside applicants
at the time their CASPA application is received.
Once you have submitted your online supplemental application, please
submit the following materials directly to the PA Admissions Office:
- Transcripts from all colleges/universities
attended except MU. For your convenience, Methodist University
transcripts will be obtained by the program.
- Three letters of professional recommendations (copies are acceptable)
- GRE scores- Unofficial copies of the GRE score report from
ETS and/or official scores are acceptable. Official scores must
be received to complete your file. Please note scores may take
2 weeks or longer to be mailed to your home or the program. If
you have not taken the GRE prior to the deadline, your application
will not be considered for the first interview session. Self
reported scores will NOT be accepted.
- TOEFL scores (International students only)
- An official evaluation of foreign transcripts (International
students only)
Only those students who meet the recommendations
of the program will be invited for the first interview session of
the year.
Admission Preference students will
be given first selection overall.
The PA Program also requires that all MU graduates submit a CASPA
application to officially complete their file. CASPA applications
do not have to be complete at the time of interview. Please be aware
of the program's March 1st deadline of submitting your CASPA application.
It is suggested applicants begin their CASPA application as early
as July.
Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your application
do not hesitate to call the PA Director of Admissions at (800) 488-7110
ext. 7615.
