Methodist University celebrated Homecoming Oct. 16-17, 2009. The Monarchs defeated the Shenandoah Hornets 17-14 in overtime. Homecoming events included the 12th Annual Hall of Fame Banquet, "Lunch on the Green" by Carrabba's Italian Grill, a soccer game vs. Greensboro College, and an alumni party at ScrubOaks Contemporary Pub.

The Gospel Choir made its debut performance during the weekly non-denominational worship service held Sept. 16, 2009.

Pictured above (L-R): Lauren Cook-Wike, Michaela Brown, Shuanna Jones, President Hendricks, Anna Gore, and Robin Davenport Shuanna Jones, a rising sophomore majoring in biology, and Anna Gore, a rising senior majoring in biology, were selected to receive scholarships in the amount of $1,500 from NETWORTH. The recipients (pictured above) will receive two disbursements of $750, which will be applied to their fall 2009 and spring 2010 semesters.
