MU Announces Staff Change

FAYETTEVILLE, NC—Pam McEvoy has been named the director of University Relations at Methodist University. McEvoy will oversee the institution’s marketing efforts and serve as the University’s official spokesperson. She assumed her new role last week.

McEvoy comes to the University from Child Advocacy Center, where she served as executive director. She was formerly with the marketing department of Cape Fear Valley Health System, and also worked at Southern Regional Area Health Education Center (AHEC).

McEvoy serves as a board member of the Cumberland County Mental Health Center, where she is vice-chair of the Program Services Committee. Additionally, she is vice president of the Child Advocacy Centers of North Carolina’s Board of Directors; McEvoy will become president of the Board July 1, 2008.

She is the wife of Bob McEvoy, director of Athletics at Methodist University. They have a son, Michael, who graduated from Methodist in May 2007, and a daughter, Lindsey, who is a senior at Meredith College. McEvoy has a Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University in Communications and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.
