Methodist University to Present the Annual Templeton-Bullard Lecture on Science and Religion

FAYETTEVILLE, NC—Margaret Wertheim, an internationally noted science writer and commentator, will speak on the Methodist University campus, Monday, March 10, 2008. Her topic will be: “On Space and Spirit: God, Physics, and the Culture Wars.” The event will be held in Yarborough Auditorium in Clark Hall at 11:00 a.m. The presentation is part of the Templeton-Bullard Lecture Series on Science and Religion, and is free and open to the public.

Wertheim has lectured at colleges and universities around the world. She has written numerous scholarly articles and books, and has produced a dozen television programs and interactive videos that seek to bridge the gap between the sciences and religion. The lecture is the eighth of the Templeton Lecture Series; Wertheim delivered the second annual lecture in 2001.
