Small Talk was established in 1961 and is published
bi-weekly during the semester. Its name was changed in 1995
to Pride, and in 1999 to Monarch Messenger,
but the paper's original name was restored in 2002. smallTalk
is published every other week during the semester and distributed
to locations throughout campus.
Get Covered
The staff always welcomes story ideas and story submissions
from the Methodist University community. Our goal is to

but we encourage your timely suggestions and submissions.
For more information on how to do so, please e-mail the
student media staff at
or call the Director of Student Media at 630-7292.
