Katie Williams enters her first season as the Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Methodist University.
Prior to joining the Monarchs’ coaching staff, Williams served as an assistant coach for the UC-San Diego for one year before becoming the Tritons’ Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach for the 2016-2017 season. She led UCSD to a 7-3 overall record, and earned the 2016-2017 WWLL Coach of the Year title.
Beginning in 2016, Williams also stepped into the role of Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Santa Fe Christian and became Co-Founder/Coach for the TEAM Lacrosse Academy. During this time, Williams has assisted young athletes in cultivating their lacrosse skills and experience, while teaching skills and lessons that translate into everyday life.
Williams played at the Division I level for two years at LIU Brooklyn where she was an All-Rookie Team selection for the North Eastern Conference. After spending two years with the Blackbirds, Williams transferred to Mary Washington where she was a two-time Capital Athletic Conference All-Conference team member.
Williams is a 2014 graduate of UMW and holds a B.S. in business administration.
