Kevin Ward holds a Bachelor of Music in K-12 Instrumental Music Education from The University of Tennessee at Martin (2008). He holds a Master of Education in Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University (2010), and has recently completed a Masters from Berklee College of Music in Arranging and Orchestration (2017).
Currently, Kevin is an Adjunct Professor of Music at Methodist University in Fayetteville. In addition to his appointment at Methodist, Kevin is highly sought after as a music instructor in the community, state, and country. He holds several instructor positions, including Brass, Music Theory, Music Technology, Music Arranging and Music Composition Instructor at Music & Arts in Fayetteville and was on staff with Munford High School (TN) for their 2011 USSBA National Championship season.
In addition to teaching, Kevin is in constant demand for his versatile arranging and composing skills. He has worked with YouTube sensation and worldwide performer Lindsey Stirling to produce her pieces for concert band and has produced over 300 arrangements and compositions for the U.S. Army Band. He has been tasked with several music commissions and his music can be heard performed all around the world.
As a performer, Kevin marched with the multiple world champion drum corps The Cavaliers from Rosemont, Ill. He also spent six years as an active duty musician in the U.S. Army, being stationed with the 392nd Army Band at Fort Lee, VA (2012-2015), the 214th Army Ground Forces Band at Fort Bragg, NC (2015-2016) and the 82nd Airborne Division Band at Fort Bragg, NC (2016-2017).
Outside of music, Kevin’s interests include grilling, reading and the latest craze on Netflix.
