Peter Murray, McLean Professor of History

Degrees:

B.A., Wofford College; M.A., Ph.D., Indiana University

Bio:

Dr. Murray's teaching areas in U.S. history include the Civil Rights Movement, Post-WWII America, American Military Experience, and American slavery. In 2004, the University of Missouri Press published his book Methodists and the Crucible of Race. He is currently working with 3D computer software to reconstruct Staggville Plantation north of Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Murray freely admits to being a baseball nut.
