Bio:

Mr. Dockery is currently in his tenth year with the PGA Golf Management Program at Methodist University. He is currently a Class A member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and is currently the President of the Sandhills Chapter of the Carolinas Golf Course Superintendent Association (CGCSA). Mr. Dockery is also a certified Pesticide Applicator and is registered with the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System. He has earned his associate’s degree in applied science from North Georgia Technical College in Turf and Golf Management.

Prior to joining the MU PGA staff, Mr. Dockery was employed at Cross Creek Plantation in Seneca, SC, and Trillium Links and Lake Club, located in Cashiers, NC. Since arriving at Methodist, Steve has led a comprehensive effort to improve the golf facility, adding new tees, reshaping and resurfacing the greens, and replacing the fairway surfaces.

Mr. Dockery serves as an advisory member of the PGA Golf Management Faculty, providing instruction in turf-grass science and management.
