North Carolina Teaching License in Special Education Cross Categorical (Grades K-12) and Elementary Education (Grades K-6)

Bio:

Dr. Nolan’s passion has always been teaching students with special needs, and prior to her 2003 appointment as an Assistant Professor of Education at Methodist College, she spent 15 years teaching students in the public and private school settings.  She has taught students who have had mild, moderate, and severe/profound disabilities in the self-contained classroom, in the resource room, and in the inclusive classroom. Her areas of interest include instruction in the conducting of functional behavioral assessments to aid in the development of positive behavioral supports, and in the instruction of co-teaching and collaboration to ensure student success.
