Peggy S. Hinson
Artist's Statement
"I am involved with creating trompe l'eoil images of endangered and threatened animal species and combining them with unrelated environmental circumstances. With mixed-media shadow-box constructions, a 'Noah's Ark' theme brings these animals together. The Ark is a metaphor for Planet Earth. If the Earth is the ark, the animals and all that inhabit it are irredeemable if lost.
Collage as a major medium is a more recent and fascinating art form for me."
