The office of Career Services supports the mission of the Office
of Student Life and provides career services and resources to all
students and alumni from the first year of college to graduation
and beyond. The Career Services Office guides and instructs students
and alumni in the development of the skills necessary to obtain
employment and work satisfaction, to succeed in a diverse and rapidly
changing workforce, and to manage their life-long career strategies.
Methodist
University has partnered with College
Central Network to provide our online job posting and resume
database system. Access the site by clicking on the College Central
Logo to the right. College Central Network allows students, alumni,
and employers to have access to jobs, internships, and a resume
database. Methodist University students and alumni can apply online
for many positions by uploading a resume. You can also monitor your
job search history as well as see the names of employers who requested
your resume and the date they requested it.
Steps to take the Career Liftoff Interest Inventory
(CLII) on-line:
1. Click on the banner above.
2. Contact
Interim Director of Career Services, for your shared login. Type
in your shared login and click the button. (Do not hit the Enter
key)
3. Click on Login
4. Name and Email address are required fields. Demographic info
is optional (research data). College Major: undecided can be used
5. After reading the instructions and sample questions, click on
continue to begin the inventory
6. Once completed, you will receive a message indicating your report
has been created. It will say: "Click here to view your report."
To register to access Methodist University's
Premium Internships.com Site, please follow these instructions:
1. Click on the banner above.
2. Click on "Go to the Premium Pages."
3. Select Methodist University from the drop-down menu.
4. Enter Methodist University's Promo Code. Contact
Interim Director of Career Services, for the Promo Code.
5. Enter your name, e-mail, and password (your choice). Click "Sign
Up."
6. Enter your e-mail and password again. Click "Login."
Career Services achieves its mission by providing one-on-one counseling,
group workshops, outreach services, and online assistance, by encouraging
student participation in experiential learning, and by establishing
meaningful partnerships with faculty and employers.
