Vidocq Society Cold Case Homicide Training

We are pleased to announce the Vidocq Society Cold Case Homicide Training. The week will consist of Vidocq Society homicide investigation and forensic science training coupled with a cold case presentation. Attendees will also have the opportunity to present a cold case privately to renowned Vidocq Society experts in private. This unprecedented opportunity is open to law enforcement officers, prosecutors , crime analysts, crime scene investigators, and other related professions. The training is CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

This week long training will provide violent crime investigators, crime scene technicians, medical examiners, coroners, forensic nurses, and attorneys assigned to investigate, process, conduct examinations, and prosecute such cases a framework for more effectively conducting cold case investigations. Tentative lecture topics by Vidocq Society Experts will include, but are not limited to:

• Child Abduction and Child Death Investigation
• Cold Case Investigation
• Equivocal Deaths
• Forensic Entomology
• Forensic Pathology
• Interviewing and Interrogation
• Legal Strategies
• Staged Crime Scenes
• Sub-Types of Sexual Homicide
• 911 Call Analysis

West Point Leadership Program - Session VIII

Methodist University is proud to announce its eighth session of the West Point Leadership Program (WPLP). The WPLP is an adaptation of the third year course PL300, Military Leadership completed by all cadets at the U. S. Military Academy at West Point, New York. The course examines and integrates leadership in organizations from four perspectives: the individual, the group, the leader,and the organization. The WPLP will be conducted at the Methodist University campus in Fayetteville, NC. The course consists of 14 class days and 4 online examinations. One class day will incorporate a Leader Terrain Walk at the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park in Greensboro, NC. Students will participate in assessments of their followership style, interpersonal skills asa leader or officer in a community policing environment, and organizational characteristics of greatness. The registration cost for the course is $500 per student. All course materials will be provided in digital format and supplemented by online video lectures.
