Restoration Work to Be Done
Air conditioners: Each room will be equipped with an individual unit for heating and air conditioning. This places the comfort level in each student's hands by allowing them to control their own room's temperature, while being significantly less expensive than replacing the current central unit.
Bathrooms: Renovations will ensure that bathrooms in the four residence halls are updated to increase functionality, reliability and aesthetics. From floor tiles to fixtures, the new plumbing will increase the quality of each student's residence life experience.
Lobbies: The renovation plan aims for a complete refurbishing of
the residence hall lobbies and common areas, to include new
ceilings and light fixtures, as well as new, comfortable and
attractive furniture. These improved and upgraded lobbies will
provide an engaging new environment for students.
The cost to complete the above renovations is approximately $2.2 million or $550,000 per building.
