Thank you for your interest in Methodist University's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is housed in the School of Health Sciences. This three-year, eight-semester program is designed to graduate independent leader practitioners who are recognized as critical thinkers, poised communicators and valued collaborators within the health care system (for more, about PT).
The program was started in August 2013 and formally approved by the University in February 2014. The DPT program is not accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), which is required for licensure (for more information, accreditation). However, the Program submitted an application for candidacy with an anticipated start date of August 2015.
