Jeff Shaeffer, intern, conferring with
Cheri Jordan, Quality Service Division, Womack Army Medical Center
The program in Health Care Administration recognizes the need to balance
theory and practice. During students' senior year, they participate
in an internship. Under the preceptor's guidance in a health care
facility or other related health service organization, students work
hand-in-hand with an experienced health care administrator and develop
one or more specific projects for the organization. Recently students
have worked for large medical group practices, within the Veterans
Affairs Medical Center, and for governmental health care agencies,
during the academic year, as well as during the summer.
