Major and Art History Minor

As our world becomes more visual, people who can create and interpret those visions become critical to business and society. A major in Art prepares you to make a living sharing your vision with the world.

Athletic Training
Major

Our Athletic Training program gets you in the training room from freshman year on. You have the opportunity to work with athletes in sports medicine clinics, professional team training rooms, and other health-care provider settings.

Biology
Major and Minor

Biology offers a challenging curriculum in a friendly and nurturing environment. Among our alumni are surgeons, professors, teachers, scientists, veterinarians, and many other kinds of biologists.

Chemistry
Major and Minor

Chemistry majors work in many scientific and consumer product industries, and many go on to medical or pharmacy schools. A concentration in Forensic Science is also available for those interested in criminal forensic analysis.

English & Writing
Two Majors and Minors

Whatever career you choose, reading, analytical thinking, and good writing skills simplify your journey. English and Writing majors experience the ideas of the world through literature and learn to argue, form ideas, and write succinctly.

Exercise Science
Major

As an Exercise Science major, you will develop and implement individualized exercise programs for healthy populations and also for those individuals with disabilities and health related conditions that require special consideration.

Forensic Science
Concentration

Students in Chemistry or Justice Studies have the option of a concentration in Forensic Science. Criminalists use scientific procedures, such as DNA analysis, infrared resonance imaging, and chromtatography to analyze crime scenes.

History
Major and Minor

Through lively discussion and research, you gain an intimate understanding of our past when majoring in History. You hone critical thinking, clear writing, and effective speaking skills that serve you well in any career.

Honors Program

Our Honors Program offers you the chance to distinguish yourself by studying the classics of Western civilization. You will be encouraged to think for yourself and improve your reading, discussion, and critical thinking skills.

Legal Studies
Minor

The minor in Legal Studies gives you the skills needed to join the growing field of paralegal services. It also can prepare you for law school. As a paralegal, you can draft documents, assist lawyers, and do research and investigations.

Mathematics
Major and Minor

Mathematics challenges you to open your mind, think in abstract terms, and put it all back together in a practical application. The emphasis is on concepts, and professors work one-on one with you to help you to the next level.

Military Science/ROTC
Minor

Army ROTC builds leadership and management skills and confidence in your abilities. Graduates are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army, but you can try the program for two years with no commitment.
