Heaven is for Real

Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo is an intriguing story of a child’s out-of body-experience.   After an emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix Colton Burpo describes his spiritual journey.    I was a bit skeptical when I started reading this book but as it progressed I felt the story was captivating.   I would recommend this [...]

Breaking Night

I highly recommend this well written book of survival and determination.  It is similar to The Glass Castle written by Jeanette Walls in regards to family and creating a future for yourself.   Liz Murray tells a motivational story about turning her life around after growing up the neglected child of drug addicts.   Her mother’s frequent [...]

The Lost Hero

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan The Lost Hero was a really good read that goes along with the Percy Jackson series.  In the Lost Hero Percy Jackson is no were to be found and there is a new hero that has no idea what is going on since he has lost all of his [...]

Circle of Magic: Briar’s Book By Tamora Pierce

This is the last book of the series, and it was an excellent book. The plot takes an interesting turn when Rosethorn, one of the teacher, get sick, the race for the cure can [...]

Lord of the Dead By Tom Holland

This was an all-around good book, from the story line to the way it was written.  The story starts out with a young lady by the name of Rebecca.  Rebecca heads to a law firm in the hopes of acquiring keys to a house that her mother disappeared at when she was a young child.  [...]

Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel

Infinite Days has been one of the better books I have read in a while.  I really enjoyed the writing style of the author, as other books about vampires have a tendency to say the words “like” and “so” way too often and it gets annoying.  With this book you actually get a feel that the [...]

Bloodhound By: Tamora Pierce

This was a great sequel to Terrier. loved how Beka did what she needed to do, however I have mixed feelings with how the book ended,  With Goodwin behind the desk, I think things will be interesting, even thorough I loved Goodwin in the field.

Mermaid by Carolyn Turgeon

The cover on the book caught my attention, and so did the plot of the story. This was an ok book, not something i would want to read again. The ending was way too sad, and i disagree with some points of the plot. It was a quick read, a interesting story.

Graceling by Kristin Cashore

Grabbed this book up when browsing for one,  the cover art captured my attention. The story was great, the plot was laid out perfectly. The characters were various, and encouraged the plot even more. The only discredit I can say about the book is the ending came way too soon.
