Zombie, Ohio by Scott Kenemore is the first zombie novel I have ever read, but was also one of the better books that I have read. The story starts off with a conversation with a zombie who knows that he is a zombie. It is as though he is being interviewed about how he became a zombie and then proceeds to tell his story. Its starts with a car crash. Peter wakes up to find himself to have been in a car crash and has been thrown through the windshield. Not knowing what has happened or who he is, it would seem that he has amnesia. Looking in his wallet he finds out what his name is and where he is from. He then proceeds to walk down the road where he runs into a college that he once worked at. He meets up with his friends and learns there has been a zombie outbreak. He then learns after looking in a mirror and taking his hat off that he is a zombie himself but no one knows. This is where the story starts to take off for Peter. I would recommend this book if you like other zombie books or the fiction genre. Even though it is a zombie book it is from the perspective of a zombie who knows that he is one of the walking dead but is still aware of his surroundings and can still function somewhat normally.
