A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb

I couldn’t put this book down.  The imagery in it is amazing-you can clearly see in your head all the things that happen here.  This book is, of course, about a ghost/spirit (Light=a ghost/spirit who does not occupy a body, Quick=a ghost/spirit who occupies a body, at least that’s how I interpreted it) who discovers that a boy can actually see her.  It turns out that the boy is being occupied by a ghost/spirit.  The two spirits become friends and quickly fall in love.  The main character and the spirit-occupied boy start looking for a body for her to occupy, so that she and the spirit-occupied boy can be together physically.  The two spirits then begin to discover all the complications that come with “stealing” a body.  I can’t say any more without giving things away, but this book is a must-read.  I really enjoyed it.  I didn’t completely understand the ending but I’m going to read it again.  I definitely recommend this book.
