Irredeemable
I have been reading the comic series by Boom Studios entitled Irredeemable by Mark Waid and Peter Krause. I have made it to volume three of the series and found it to be very entertaining. The premise is Earth’s greatest superhero, The Plutonian, has somehow snapped and is now Earth’s greatest enemy. Over the three volumes that I have read The Plutonian has killed millions and has even killed some of his old superhero partners from the Paradigm – this is evident from volume one’s first pages. Overall I am really impressed with this series, with the storyline and the art. It shows how a superhero could get tired of helping people and become their worst nightmare. Some of the characters from this series remind me of characters from other comic companies, while others seem to be original.
