Mission of the Library Information Literacy Program
The Davis Memorial Library philosophy of instruction is grounded in the mission of the College which encourages the development of moral values and ethical decision making, as well as a continuing thirst for knowledge. The instructional program teaches students to become information literate adults who:

  • Recognize their need for information
  • Know how to locate information
  • Critically evaluate the information they find
  • Effectively utilize information technology

This intellectual framework upon which the instructional program is built meets the information needs of the academic community.
