The Library Competency class provides participants with an orientation to library services and instruction on using the Library's online catalog, electronic resources, and on the fundamentals of information literacy.
This class satisfies the library competency graduation requirement.
Any student who is not taking or has not taken FYS 110 at Methodist University must complete the Library Competency Class before completing 60 semester hours at Methodist University.
After a student has completed the Library Competency requirement by attending a class in the library and scoring 70% or higher on the Library Competency Test, his or her name is sent to the registrar's office. The registrar will make a note on the student's transcript stating that the requirement has been fulfilled.

NOTE: Class size is limited to fifteen students. Provide your name as it appears on your student ID card, Institution ID number, and a contact phone number. Classes may be canceled due to a lack of interest. Classes start promptly at the scheduled times.
