In the Davis Memorial Library, students may surf the Internet, check their email, and use Microsoft Office products on all of the computers. All of the computers print to centrally located networked laser printers at the Circulation Desk. Color printing is available for a fee of $.25 per page. (Please ask at the Circulation Desk for assistance with this.) Users can find out what materials the library owns through the Online Catalog. For access to the library's electronic databases, please refer to our Electronic Resources page. Wireless access is available. With a grant from the State Library of North Carolina and funds from LSTA, we have fourteen laptop computers available to be checked out for use in the Library. The laptops may be checked out for a four hour time period with one renewal. Prior to check out the first time, each user will need to sign an agreement about the use and care of the laptop. Please allow some additional time for this. If printing is required, an additional cable is needed to connect to the network. Please ask for it at check out.
A photocopy machine is located next to the entrance.
Two microform machines are located on the opposite side of the new book display.
A typewriter is available in the Mulitmedia Room.
At the Circulation Desk, you can reserve equipment such as screens and overhead projectors.
