April 6, 2007 DAYTONA BEACH, FL— The Methodist cheerleading team left Tuesday night to travel to Daytona Beach for the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Collegiate Cheer Competition. The Monarchs competed in the Cheer Division II Preliminaries Thursday afternoon and came up just one tenth of a point away from reaching the finals. Hawaii Pacific University led the group with a 9.07 while the Monarchs finished in fifth out of the seven teams with a 7.10.
