Kivett Honored as USA South Athlete of the Week
Methodist student-athlete receives weekly conference honors

FAYETTEVILLE, NC-  The USA South has announced their athletes of the week.  The conference gives an award for Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for each sport active during the week.

Seth Kivett has been named the USA South Baseball Player of the Week.  The sophomore third baseman from Bear Creek, North Carolina hit .750 (6-for-8) with three runs scored, nine RBI, one double and three home runs as the Monarchs opened the season with two wins over Randolph-Macon last week. In the first game, a 12-2 win for Methodist, Kivett was a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two runs scored and two home runs, one of which was a grand slam. In game number two, a 9-6 Monarch victory, Kivett was 2-for-4 with one run scored, three RBI, one walk, one double and a home run.
