Chris Toth, from
Chesterfield, Virginia has been named the USA
South Baseball Pitcher of the Week. The
junior appeared in one game last week, picking
up a victory in the Monarchs, 9-2, win over
Ferrum. Toth pitched seven innings without
giving up an earned run. In the seven innings,
Toth surrendered two unearned runs on three hits
and three walks while striking out nine batters.
The baseball team's game scheduled at
Bridgewater on Tuesday has been postponed.
The Monarchs will host Capital on Thursday at 4
pm.
