April 16, 2008 FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The USA South Athletic Conference announced its All-Conference awards for baseball on Wednesday. A total of 43 student-athletes have been recognized with Methodist sophomore Seth Kivett headlining the Monarchs' selections receiving First Team honors. Originally from Bear Creek, N.C., Kivett is batting .362 so far this season starting every game at third base for the Monarchs. Kivett leads the team in hits (50), runs (37), home runs (12) and RBI (40). Senior shortstop Scott Russell, senior outfielder Michael Carter and senior pitcher Chris Toth were named Second Team selections for their efforts this season. Junior utility player Kenly Locklear is an Honorable Mention selection. The USA South has also recognized an All-Sportsmanship Team including a member from each conference school who has demonstrated integrity and honor during the season.
