Hoffman Joins Schaumburg Flyers
2005 Methodist graduate traded from Sioux Falls Canaries

SCHAUMBURG, IL-  The Methodist baseball team has sent many former players to professional leagues around the country and should have three alumni on active rosters this season.  Dave Hoffman has been traded to the Schaumburg Flyers that compete in the Northern League, a Midwest independent baseball league.

Hoffman hit .226 in 51 games for the Sioux Falls Canaries in 2006. Flyers' manager Steve Maddock says that although Hoffman caught in Sioux Falls, he was a shortstop in college and gives Schaumburg flexibility in the infield.  Hoffman was selected 12th overall by the Sioux Falls Canaries in the 2006 American Association Tryout Camp Draft after a successful career at Methodist.
