of the
Week for
baseball
- again!
Freshman
catcher
goes
2-for-5
with
three
runs
scored
in two
games

The USA
South
Athletic
Conference
released
its
third
weekly
baseball
awards
of the
2006
season
on
Monday,
and the
Methodist
Monarchs
were
amongst
the
representation.
Freshman
catcher
Dustin
Proctor
was
selected
as the
USA
South
Rookie
of the
Week.
This
marks
the
second
time
this
season
that
Proctor
has
received
the
conference’s
rookie
honor
Proctor,
a
5-foot-11,
195-pounder
from
Whiteville,
N.C.,
went
2-for-5
with
three
runs
scored
in two
games
last
week. In
his one
at-bat
on
Wednesday
against
St.
Andrews,
Proctor
had a
single
and
later
scored a
run. And
then on
Saturday
in game
two at
North
Carolina
Wesleyan,
he went
1-for-4
with two
runs
scored.
For the
season,
Proctor
is
hitting
.300
with an
RBI and
five
runs
scored.
Methodist
(8-4,
4-2)
plays at
Lynchburg
on
Tuesday
at 1
p.m.,
and then
plays
host to
Bridgewater
on
Thursday
at 2
p.m.
