Salisbury Wins Two Over Methodist
Brad Davis hits 3-for-5 with 3 RBI on the day

SALISBURY, MD -  The Monarchs traveled to Maryland for a doubleheader with ninth ranked Salisbury University.  The Sea Gulls took control early in game one to win 12-4 before winning 7-3 over the Monarchs.  The Monarchs complete the regular season 29-13 while Salisbury improves to 32-7.

Salisbury took an 11-0 lead through the first six innings before the Monarchs were able to get on the scoreboard.  Kyle Eudy led off the top of the seventh with a walk before Brad Davis hit a two-run home run to score Methodist's first runs of the game.  The Sea Gulls scored another run in the bottom of the inning before Matt Hunt hit a home run of his own in the eighth.  Davis scored again in the top of the ninth on a RBI single by Brian Halpin, but the Monarchs fell short in the 12-4 loss.

Methodist seemed to bounce back in game two when Hunt led off with a double.  Hunt moved to third on a groundout by Jonathan Spivey and scored on a single by Seth Kivett.  Salisbury tied the game in the bottom of the second and took a 4-1 lead in the third inning.

In the fourth, Eudy scored on a single up the middle by Davis and Hunt scored in the top of the fifth on another single by Kivett to cut the lead to one.  Salisbury extended their lead with two runs in the sixth and capped off a 7-3 win in the eighth with their final run of the game.
