Five Monarchs Named to USA South All-Conference Teams
Junior Husein Nasiro-Sigo named Runner of the Year for second consecutive year

FAYETTEVILLE, NC- 
The USA South released their USA South All-Conference teams for both men and women on Wednesday.  The conference championship meet will be Saturday, October 28th at Hagan Stone Park in Greensboro, NC.  On October 30th, an All-Meet team will be announced in addition to the All-Conference team.

Husein Nasiro-Sigo, a junior from Koffela, Ethiopia has been seen selected as the USA South Runner of the Year for the second consecutive year.  Nasiro-Sigo won both the Guilford and Greensboro Invitational races this year and broke the course record at the Hagan Stone Invitational. 

Junior cross country runner Krystal Patton has been named to the first team for the USA South women's cross country team.  A native of Hope Mills, NC and a second team honoree in 2004 and 2005, Patton has surpassed her own personal record running a 21:11 5K race this season.

Freshmen Adam Clouse and Zach Yonk were named to the men's second team while freshman Chase Pattillo was an honorable mention selection.  All three freshmen have played a major role in the Monarchs' success this season.  The men's 8K race will begin at 11 am on Saturday with the women running the 6K at 12 pm.  Results will be posted at http://www.gborocollege.edu/athletics/sports/Crosscountry/2006/06usas.html at the completion of the meet.
