Nasiro-Sigo finishes eighth at Great American Cross Country Festival

RALEIGH, N.C. – Competing in one of the more heralded cross country meets in the Southeast on Saturday, Husein Nasiro-Siga proved himself on a regional stage for the Methodist Monarchs.

The sophomore from Ethiopia finished eighth overall in the Men's University and Open Division of the Great American Cross Country Festival. Nasiro-Siga finished in a time of 26:48.09, and it marked the first time ever that a Methodist runner has cracked the Top 10 at the Great American Cross Country Festival.

Methodist competes next on Oct. 7-8 at the Walt Disney World Classic in Orlando.
