Men's Cross Country Team Places Fifth at Old North State Meet
Krystal Patton led the women's team with a 22:29 time

GREENSBORO, NC-  The Monarchs competed at the Old North State championships on Saturday where junior Husein Nasiro-Sigo won the men's 8K race in 25:38.  The men's team combined to earn 123 points to place fifth amongst the 7 teams competing in the collegiate event.

Also scoring for the men were: freshman Adam Clouse placed 50th in 31:08, freshman Zach Yonk placed 62nd in 32:33, freshman Chase Pattillo placed 74th in 34:35, and freshman Brandon Kidd placed 88th in 37:32.  St. Augustine's won the men's collegiate with 33 points. 

Queens won the women's 5K collegiate race, but junior Krystal Patton led the Methodist women placing 52nd with a time of 22:29.  Junior Tia Imel placed 79th in 24:52 and freshman Jen Kiner placed 86th in 25:21.

The teams will compete travel back to Greensboro on Saturday to compete in the Greensboro Invitational with the women's race beginning at 1 pm and the men following at 1:45 pm.
