Competing in cross country at Methodist University ensures that student-athletes have a support group right off the bat—their team! As a sport where there are no tryouts or cuts, cross country welcomes athletes into their college experience by giving everyone an opportunity to participate and improve.  We also provide the training and support for those runners wishing to compete on the national level.  During the past three seasons a Methodist student-athlete won the USA South Individual Conference Championship.  Whether you are an all-state runner or someone that just wants to compete athletically in college- Methodist University is right for you!

For the first few weeks, both men and women compete at the 5K (3.1 miles). However, as the season progresses, the men's race extends to 8K (5 miles). Most meets that the Monarchs participate in are in North Carolina.
