Men's Cross Country Places Second at NC Central Invitational
Junior Tia Imel places eighth in the women's race

DURHAM, NC-  The cross country team traveled to NC Central University to compete in their invitational which also included Winston-Salem State University.  The men's team combined to earn 29 points placing second in the meet.  Junior Husein Nasiro-Sigo won the 8K in a time of 25:28.

Freshman Zach Yonk placed 6th with a time of 29:19, Adam Clouse placed 7th in 29:33, freshman Chase Pattillo placed 12th in 32:56, and freshman Frank Ware placed 16th with a time of 33:58.  Winston-Salem State won the event with 28 points, just one ahead of the Monarchs. 

In the women's 5K race junior Krystal Patton placed third in a time of 21:20 while, junior Tia Imel placed 8th in 24:29.

The teams will have next weekend off before they travel to the USA South Conference Championship meet October 28th in Pleasant Garden, NC.
