Methodist’s Nasiro-Sigo captures Old North State Cross Country Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Methodist’s Husein Nasiro-Sigo won the men’s individual race on Saturday at the Old North State Cross Country Championships at Hagan Stone Park. Nasiro-Sigo won the race in a time of 26:42.9 in a race that included 36 athletes. It was Nasiro-Sigo’s second individual championship in the 2005 season.

In addition to Nasiro-Sigo, Ryan Taylor finished 20th overall with time of 33:08.2, while Will Helms finished 30th with a time of 37:56.3. Mlungisi Ndwandwe rounded out the Methodist runners finishing 32nd with a time of 40:49.9.

In the women’s race, Krystal Patton placed 12th with a time of 28:51.8.

Methodist competes in the Mason-Dixon Conference Championship on Saturday (Oct. 22) at Salisbury.
