Methodist to Host USA South Football Media Day July 31
Press conference to be video streamed live over the internet

FAYETTEVILLE, NC -  The annual USA South Football Media Day will be hosted by Methodist University and take place on Tuesday, July 31 at 10:30 a.m. Each of the Conference's eight football coaches will address the media and give their thoughts on the upcoming football season.

This season marks the seventh year of USA South football. Last season, Averett University and Christopher Newport University shared the league championship. It was Christopher Newport's fifth league title and Averett's first. In the six years of USA South football, the conference championship has been shared each year.

A new addition to this year's media day will be the unveiling of the football pre-season poll. The poll, usually released the week prior to media day, will be given to the media and coaches at the press conference then released on www.USASouth.net after the event has concluded.

Another new addition this this year is that the press conference will be video streamed live over the internet. The 2007 USA South football schedule kicks-off on Saturday, September 1 as six teams begin their seasons with non-conference action. The Monarchs will open the season Saturday, September 8 hosting Guilford College.
