Senior George Sands Named Honorable Mention All-American
Don Hansen's Football Gazette released 2006 NCAA Division III All-American Team

FAYETTEVILLE, NC-  Don Hansen's Football Gazette has released the NCAA Division III All-America Team for the 2006 season.  Monarch senior George Sands has been named an honorable mention All-American as a kick returner.

Sands had caught 17 kick-offs to run for 470 yards including a 54 yard kick return against Guilford to open the season.  Sands averaged more than 27 yards per return.  He also served as a punt returner finishing the season with 22 returns for 172 yards.  Sands rounded out his duties as a wide receiver with 12 catches for 159 yards this past season ranking him eighth in the Methodist record book for career receiving yards.
