February 27, 2008 FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for men's basketball. A total of 20 student-athletes have been named to the USA South All-Conference teams for men's basketball. Methodist's Billy McDade, LeuMichael Smith and Antwin Shuford have been honored by the conference. Senior Billy McDade was named to the USA South First Team after averaging 15.2 points per game this season. McDade started every game for the Monarchs and scored a career-high 40 points at Christopher Newport earlier this month and has tallied 35 blocks this season to go along with six rebounds per game. Freshman LeuMichael Smith received Second Team honors in his rookie campaign. Smith averages 13.3 points per game after a career day of 27 points against Shenandoah last Friday. Smith ranks 20th in Division III with a 59.8 field goal percentage this season. Junior Antwin Shuford has averaged 11.3 points per game and eight rebounds per game to be named to the Honorable Mention team. He recorded four double-doubles this season with a season-high 19 points scored against Piedmont. For the first time this year, the USA South recognized an All-Sportsmanship Team including a member from each conference school who has demonstrated integrity and honor during the season.
