Methodist Falls to Elizabethtown in Championship
Senior Billy McDade hits 12-for-12 from the line on the way to 26 points

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA - Methodist took on the host Elizabethtown College in the championship game of the Days Inn East Blue Jay Classic on Saturday afternoon. Elizabethtown took an early lead and went on to win 86-76 win.

The Blue Jays built up a 14 point lead during the first half before the Monarchs cut it to 10 going into halftime. Elizabethtown started the second half on a 7-0 run, but Methodist kept working, cutting the lead to 11 including a dunk by junior Travis McBryde. The Blue Jays stayed on top to win 86-76 for the championship.

Senior Billy McDade led the Monarchs with 26 points and nine rebounds. Junior Antwin Shuford added 15 points with nine rebounds while McBryde finished with 14.

McDade and junior A.B. Lehmann were both named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Monarchs will travel to Lynchburg on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
