Ryerson Coaches in United World Games
High school and college players compete amongst 3,000 participants

FAYETTEVILLE, NC-  Men's assistant basketball coach and cross country head coach Tim Ryerson recently returned from coaching with USA Athletes International in Europe.  Back for his third year, Ryerson led Team USA to a bronze medal in the United World Games June 18-22 in Klagenfurt, Austria.

The team of 10 players went 4-1 in pool play. After an opening loss to Sweden, the team defeated Italy 98-32, Netherlands 67-53, Croatia 82-48 and France 60-50 to advance to the medal round. Team USA lost 50-39 to Austria in the semifinals but avenged an early loss to Sweden to win the bronze medal game 80-72. 

When they weren't competing, Team USA was able to visit Venice, Italy, Munich, Germany and Salzburg, Austria.
