Bova Honored as USA South Athlete of the Week
Methodist student-athlete receives weekly conference honors

FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The USA South has announced their athletes of the week. The conference gives an award for Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for each sport active during the week.

Nick Bova has been selected as the USA South Golfer of the Week. The senior from Bloomington, Illinois shot a four-over par 140 to win the Emory University Spring Invitational this past week. Bova led the Monarchs to a first place finish in the two-day tournament which featured four USA South squads. Bova began the tournament with a three-under par 73 and finished the event with a one-over par 71. Bova needed a playoff to earn the victory as he defeated Oglethorpe's Taylor Urbanski. The victory is Bova's third consecutive win this season and his fourth overall for the spring.
