Speight Named USA South Rookie of the Week
Freshman Josh Speight tied for sixth at Emory Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The USA South has announced their athletes of the week. The conference gives an award for Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for each sport active during the week.  Josh Speight has been named the newest Rookie of the Week. 

The freshman from Gloucester, Virginia competed in the Emory University Invitational last week. Speight helped the Monarchs to a first-place finish at the tournament by shooting a four-over par 148 for the two-day event. Speight opened the tournament with a 75 followed by a 73 to finish tied for sixth-overall. 

The Monarchs will compete in the USA South Conference Tournament this weekend in Burlington, NC.
