Monarch golfers dominate USA South awards
Horton named player of the year; Conley coach of the year

The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for golf. A total of 14 student-athletes have been named to the USA South All-Conference teams for golf. Adam Horton of Methodist College was chosen Player of the Year and Steve Conley from Methodist is the Coach of the Year.  Nick Bova and Cory Schneider were also named to the first team.  Brant Dixon made the second team.

Horton, a senior from Chesapeake, Va., was medalist at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational in March and was second at the Marine Corps Tournament the following week. He has a 73.1 stroke average through 16 rounds this past year. This year marks the third consecutive year that Horton has earned First Team All-Conference honors.

Conley is in his19th year at the helm of the Monarchs. He has guided his team to nine top-10 finishes in nine tournaments and claiming four tournament titles this season. The Coach of the Year honor is Conley's 14th in his 19 year career at Methodist.
